| | Learn the basics of building kitchen cabinets and face frame furniture.
We will cover design and layout, drawing plans, different types of construction,
materials etc. You will also learn work procedures, efficiency tricks, how to safely
handle large sheets of plywood, joinery options, hardware options and the construction of doors & drawers.
Each student will build either a base cabinet or a wall hung unit. This class
could start you on your way to building your own cabinets and saving thousands,
or, starting your own custom cabinet business.

Carving Wooden Spoons

Furniture Refinishing and Restoration

| | Caring for antiques and fine furniture requires special attention to the finish. You'll learn about historical materials and techniaques, and how to recreate traditional finishes using today's shellac, varnish, wax and natural pigments. New, safer finish removers make refinishing more enhoyable, but we'll also show you how revive finishes without stripping. Feel free to bring a small item to touch up, or a problem photo for class discussion. Practice materials will be provided. Ten students maximum.
