| | This course is specifically designed to prepare students
for an entry-level woodworking position. Material covered will include the
study of wood, learning to draw and read plans, the care, use and sharpening
of hand tools, and the safe use and maintenance of machine tools. We will
also cover joinery, project design, wood turning, veneering and wood
bending. Each student will learn through a series of lessons and individual
projects.

a router's parts, setup and use. We'll do a number of exercises and projects, and you will

The Willow Sea Kayak Building Class

Build your own custom wooden sea kayak in this intensive one-week class. You will
collaborate with other class members to ensure that a boat is completed for each
student (or team, if you have a partner). Prior to this class, Bill will pre-glue planks
to length and install sheer clamps, so that you’ll have adequate time to construct a
kayak that’s ready to transport and finish. After the class, you will need to complete
your boat’s final epoxy coating, sanding, varnishing and painting at home. For more
